It's since 1906 that we welcome our guests to Veliki Repen, a little village among the beautiful scenery and wildlife of the Carsic highland.
The city of Trieste may be just a few minutes away, but here nothing spoils the tipical peace of these lands, where the huge Giant Cave and the characteristic Carsic House witness the deep historical and cultural richness of the village.

Our three star hotel can accomodate thirty people in comfortable and welcoming rooms, some with balcony. All rooms are fitted with their own bathroom, shower, direct phone connection and satellite TV.
We have a specially equipped room for disability carriers too with direct lift access. The hotel's restaurant provides for a buffet breakfast. At your convenience a reading - TV room, an extensive garden and private parking places.
The rebirth of tradition and of local gastonomical specialities is shown by our choice of dishes with tipical carsic middle-european flavours, intertwining the tastes of teran ham as a foremeal, jota, nut-filled "bleki", game, braised beef and teran filet. This is a sample of what our clever cooks can offer you. Only the true gourmands can appreciate our wide choice of locally grown olive oils.
Happily, nature allows us to exalt our kitchen with excellent wines. The peculiarities of carsic soil help us in growing characteristic wines like teran (red) and vitovska (white), of which we are distinctly proud. The nearly area of Collio goriziano - Goriška Brda with a long established tradition of winery allows us to suggest combinations with wines of great renown. Our wine list fears no comparison!
The simplest way to reach us is the A4 Venice-Trieste highway; once you passed the Monfalcone tool station just follow the lane to Fernetti and the state border. At the border post turn back toward Trieste and follow the roadsigns for Monrupino for about 5km (3.5 miles) and you're there: out guesthouse in on the main square of the town..
You can reach the town from Opicina or Prosecco too, by mean of local roads.
It's a nearly impossible task to separate the deepest spirit of a town from its wider context. Many are the artists and poets that used the peculiarities of carsic landscape as inspiration to create known and less known artpieces. A visit to the nearly Giant Cave (Briška Jama) will prove unforgettable. A nearly riding center offers horseback excursions.
